Moving off GummySearch?
It shut down in November 2025. Here is an honest look at whether ThreadyGo is the right replacement for what you were using it for.
GummySearch shut down on 30 November 2025 after it could not reach a commercial data licensing agreement with Reddit. If you were paying for it, you already know the awkward part: you had proven Reddit was worth paying for, and then the tool went away.
The first question worth asking any replacement is the one that killed GummySearch: how does it get its Reddit data, and could the same thing happen again? Our honest answer is that we run a mixed pipeline with fallbacks across multiple providers, so no single provider's policy change takes the product down overnight. That is not a guarantee nobody in this space can truthfully offer one but it is the question you should be putting to every tool on your shortlist.
The second thing worth knowing: GummySearch was primarily an audience research tool. ThreadyGo is not a like-for-like clone of it. If what you valued was broad subreddit exploration, read the comparison below carefully before you switch.
GummySearch vs ThreadyGo
| GummySearch | ThreadyGo | |
|---|---|---|
| Status | Shut down 30 Nov 2025; data deleted through late 2026 | Live and actively developed |
| Primary job | Audience and market research across subreddits | Finding specific threads with buying intent, and replying to them |
| Scoring | Filtering and saved searches, no AI scoring | Every post scored by AI for how likely it is to be a real opportunity |
| Replies | Not a feature - you wrote your own | A drafted reply per opportunity, written for that specific thread. You edit and post it yourself |
| Posting on your behalf | No | No, deliberately. We never ask for your Reddit login |
| Scan cadence | Continuous monitoring | On demand. Starter is one scan every 7 days, Pro is one every 24 hours |
| Entry price | Was around $29/mo at close | Free for 7 days, then $15/mo Starter or $39/mo Pro |
When GummySearch is the better choice
If what you actually needed was open-ended audience research - browsing whole subreddits to understand a market before you have a product - ThreadyGo is the wrong shape for that, and you would be better served by a dedicated research tool. ThreadyGo assumes you already know what you sell and want to find people asking for it. Our scan caps also make us a poor fit if you need something checking Reddit continuously through the day.
The short version
If you were using GummySearch to find people worth replying to, that is exactly what ThreadyGo does: an AI score so you read five threads instead of two hundred, and a drafted reply for each one. Run a scan against your own product and judge it on the results.
- Every post scored 0-100 for buying intent, so you read five threads instead of two hundred
- A drafted reply for each one, written for that specific thread
- No auto-posting and no Reddit login required - your account stays yours
